Two totally different games as far as character, atmosphere, and 'flavor' go. Kinda in the same general category, but actually really different.

Reason why Bos has a smaller part in NV because of the war with NCR they had to retreat and Mojave group had a battle at Heilios One and lost so they went into hiding, NCR is a big goverment and they are the biggest faction in the fallout series, they have so many. NCR were first mentioned in Fallout 1 and were part of Fallout 2, Caesaer's Legion were meant to appear in the original Fallout 3 (Van Buren) but the game was cancelled, these aren't new factions made up just for NV they have part of the Fallout world for years. You started from Fo3 and probably think Fallout was created by Bethesda, Interplay started it and Black Isles was the main developer for Fallout until they were closed down, most Black Isles members went and formed Obsidian who made New Vegas, they know there Fallout, New Vegas actaully connects to Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, Fallout 3 doesnt do that. Marcus was in Fallout 2 himself and he is a 1st gen mutant. These mutants have been travelling the west for years.
New Vegas did get hit by nukes but Mr house stopped most of them and save the strip, the mutants aren't of the same breed as the ones from Fallout 3.įallout 3 super mutants are from vault 87, mutants in NV are 1st and second generation mutants, 1st gen mutants were created by The Master in Fallout 1 and 2nd gen mutants were accidently created by enclave scientists in Fallout 2. The series has been about war and not BoS though BoS have appeared in every Fallout game, you can get enclave armour in NV it's the one from Fallout 2 which looks better than the Fallout 3 armour.
